When viewing the HESC website I really appreciated the cohesiveness. All elements complemented one another in a great fashion. For example the font was not to overpowering and all of the photos were of adequate size. The links worked just fine and I was able to easily navigate back to needed pages just by using carrots.
There was one thing that I really did not appreciate about the HESC site. I know that it is hard to cover all events and projets that go on within the college but I did not see one picture from anything apparel studies related. I am being biased but as a student of the college I feel under represented :(. When I clicked on the apparel studies link all of the images were very OLD and the jobs and interships obtained were not up to date at all.
My summary of the homepage:
Everything was where I needed it to be and very accesible. I don't think that the scrolling down of the side bar was a huge issue as I didn't have to go too far down. The pictures were of nice contrast as well.
Nice review! I wouldn't say that you're being biased in thinking that apparel studies is under represented. I've been visiting the HESC departmental website for a feature story idea, and it's hard to find anything currently going on in the department. The site desperately needs an update!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comment!!! It really does need an update, we have such a great mix of business savy and creative individuals and I feel that it isn't portrayed through our website :D
